Sermon 10/17/2010

Let's try what could be the easiest way of adding sermons to the emails and blog.

Here's last week's sermon.  We looked at the marks of a disciple.  These are not the means to discipleship, but the reflection of it.  And we looked at Stephen, the first martyr of the church.  In him, we saw the character of Christ, a sensitivity to the Holy Spirit, a hunger for and knowledge of Scripture, and compassion.  Take a listen!

Special Sunday - October 3

Memorial Park Youth Drama Crew!
Our worship service on Sunday, October 3, is going to include the Drama team from our sister-church, Memorial Park Pres..

I'm excited about them coming and bringing a special message through the story of Joseph.  Bring everybody!  It's going to be fun and great worship.

Esther: For Such a Time and Place as This - Audio Sermon

I (Eric Amundson) preached this message at Fourth on 9/19/2010.  Esther 4 Audio Sermon

It's part of our "Being a Missional Church" series.  We see Esther placed by God in a particular place, at a particular time for a particular purpose.  It's true of all of us.  We are exactly right here for a reason.

Enjoy the sermon, and let me know what you think.

Welcome!

Welcome to the first post of the new blog specifically for Fourth Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh, PA.  With a long legacy of people who have been and are being touched deeply by God's ministry at Fourth, we welcome all to participate in spiritual conversation, listen to sermons, and check-in on activities.

In the near future, I hope to have up a website to provide more static information about Fourth.  For now, and even then, this blog can be a place for the living, breathing happenings and conversation at our home at the corner of Friendship and Roup.
